Ann Dobyns, Amazon Review
A hauntingly beautiful new book by the Argentine American tangueara/psychoanalyst Beatriz Dujovne. We journey with the writer to a Buenos Aires as she grieves the loss of her husband, her soul mate Carlos. Although the book is not about tango and not use tango explicitly as a metaphor, I felt the dance in her narrative, as she and her therapist seem to dance her grieving and healing, as she moves through the city and returns to the couple’s favorite restaurants. Always she is connecting with the city and her memories as she lets the dance of self-discovery reawaken her sense of joy and wonder.
