Paul Sormani Ecritoire in Marquetry Circa 1860 by Antikeo

Ecritoire by Paul Sormani, crafted in marquetry style of the Napoleon III era. Features geometric patterns of rosewood, palissandre, nacre, and ebony inlays. The lid is bordered by a brass strip. A monogrammed shield, topped with a count's crown, adorns the center. The arched upper section reveals a palissandre mailbox compartment. The lower part serves as a desk, covered in cherry-red leather. Recently restored, it houses two crystal inkwells and a palissandre pen box. The original key operates the lock. Finished with a stamp varnish.
